Back by popular demand, this session on ethics was one of the highest rated sessions at the 2010 ICF Annual International Conference. This year, there are new and more challenging situations to debate. And coaches think ethics is a dry and boring topic!

How much do you really understand about the ICF Code of Ethics-the code ICF members agree to abide by? Ethics is about values and questions much more than about rules, and this session will help coaches understand how they might be tested in their coaching practice and what they will learn about themselves as they make choices.

This session is a discussion, not a lecture. Participants are coaches who encounter a number of challenges in which the way forward is not always so clear. Each of the scenarios that will be presented in this session is taken from a real challenge faced by a real coach with a real client. You will have to come to grips with what you would do facing the same situation. Presented in the style of Fred Friendly open discussions by the Chair and Vice-Chair of the global ICF Ethics and Standards Committee, participants will be thinking about this session for a long time.
