Strategic Plan

What is the ICF Strategic Plan?
The ICF operates according to a comprehensive strategic plan. This long-term plan was first prepared in 2006 by the ICF Board of Directors in partnership with our members, our global leadership teams, our staff and an association expert.

Each year, the Board reviews the ICF strategic plan and sets priorities for the year ahead. In January 2011, the Board spent two days reviewing the ICF strategic plan and elected to continue focusing on the priorities established in 2010, allowing time for further accomplishments in these areas and additional discussion on future priorities.  

In July 2011, the Board discussed ICF's strategic plan additionally and approved plan updates. See the July 2011 message to members concerning the newly approved plan—read the 2011-2012 strategic plan.  

ICF Strategic Plan - What does this mean to ICF Members?
The ICF is focused and prepared to work toward the goals members have identified as important. Rather than pursuing a lot of "good" work, the ICF Board is making sure the association is clear on what activities will produce the best value for members.
